Search engine fraude on the rise

Search engine fraud is unfortunately on the rise and often used by fraudsters. Besides the typical phishing message in your mailbox or via SMS, fraudsters also try to use search engines such as google on the internet as an ally, to lead you to a fake website. Febelfin, the Belgian financial sector federation, warns against this form of fraud and recommends never navigating to an internet banking website via a search engine. The same applies to the itsme website.
